A friendly, rye-spiced Kentucky bourbon that has been an everyday staple for generations.
What it is
Old Grand-Dad Kentucky Straight Bourbon is bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). The brand was launched in the 1880s by Raymond Hayden in tribute to his grandfather, the distiller Basil Hayden Sr., whose portrait still appears on the label. Produced today by the James B. Beam Distilling Co., it uses a higher share of rye than many bourbons, giving it a lively spice that works great in mixed drinks.
Where and how it's made
