What it is
Espolòn Blanco is an unaged tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). It is the base of the whole Espolòn range, with a clean agave flavor and a bold label inspired by Mexican folk art.
Where and how it's made
- Made by Espolòn in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, from 100% blue Weber agave
- Distilled in both column and pot stills at the San Nicolas distillery
- Bottled unaged so the fresh agave flavor comes through
- Bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV)
Tasting notes
- Nose: fresh agave, citrus and light pepper
- Palate: clean and bright, with sweet agave, lime, tropical fruit and a touch of spice
- Finish: crisp, peppery and refreshing
Serving and pairing
Shake into a margarita or a paloma, or sip it chilled with a wedge of lime. Pairs with fish tacos, ceviche, guacamole and grilled shrimp. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
