What it is
Bacardi Gold is a gold rum bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle.
Where and how it's made
- Made by Bacardi at its distillery in Cataño, Puerto Rico; the company was founded in Santiago de Cuba in 1862
- Distilled from molasses and fermented with Bacardi's own yeast strain
- Aged in charred American oak barrels for a golden color and richer flavor
Tasting notes
- Nose: vanilla, caramel and toasted oak
- Palate: smooth and mellow, with butterscotch and soft spice
- Finish: medium length, with gentle oak
