Each bottle comes from one hand-picked barrel, so every batch has its own fingerprint.
What it is
1792 Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 98.6 proof (49.3% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle. Because barrels are never blended, flavors vary slightly from one release to the next.
Where and how it's made
- Distilled and aged at Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, the town's oldest fully operating distillery
- Barrels are tasted and selected from the distillery's best aging warehouses
- Only casks judged exceptional are bottled one at a time, keeping each barrel's character intact
Tasting notes
- Nose: rich caramel and butterscotch with cinnamon and a little cookie dough
- Palate: toffee and oak with milk chocolate, plum and golden raisin
- Finish: medium-long, with nutmeg, burnt sugar and a late lift of rye spice
Serving and pairing
Sip it neat to appreciate the single-barrel character, or over one large cube. Good with salted caramel desserts, roasted nuts or a grilled pork chop.
