What it is
Branson V.S. Phantom is a Very Special cognac bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle. V.S. cognac must be aged at least two years in oak, giving a lively, youthful style.
Where and how it's made
- Made in the Cognac region of southwestern France, the only place where true cognac can be produced
- Distilled from white wine grapes in copper pot stills and aged in French oak casks
- Presented in a striking teardrop-shaped bottle from Branson, the cognac brand owned by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson
Tasting notes
- Nose: fresh grape, pear and light vanilla with a touch of oak
- Palate: smooth and fruity, with dried apricot, honey and a hint of spice
- Finish: medium length, warm and gently woody
Serving and pairing
Great over ice, with ginger ale, or in a Sidecar or cognac and cola. Pair with fried chicken, glazed wings, soft cheeses or a chocolate dessert.
