This high rye whiskey has been allowed to age slowly and reach maturity naturally. It is then finished in carefully selected French Cognac Casks for an extended period of time. At the optimum moment the casks are meticulously blended to allow all of the spice you'd expect from rye to mingle with the added flavor of orange and honey extracted from the wood of the cognac casks. It is this final blending that gives the whiskey its rich, heavy texture and long finish, elevating it above most ryes which finish quietly.
