What it is
Crystal Head Vodka is an unflavored vodka bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), here in a 50 ml miniature skull, great for gifts and tasting.
Where and how it's made
- Made in Newfoundland, Canada, from locally sourced corn
- Distilled four times and filtered seven times, three of them through Herkimer diamonds (quartz crystals)
- Blended with pristine Newfoundland water and made without additives
- Created by actor Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander, and bottled in a hand-finished glass skull
Tasting notes
- Nose: clean grain with a light touch of citrus
- Palate: silky smooth, with a gentle sweetness and a hint of vanilla
- Finish: crisp and clean
Serving and pairing
A fun stocking stuffer or party favor. Serve ice-cold neat or in a classic vodka martini, or mix with soda and lime. Pairs with oysters, smoked salmon, sushi and caviar. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
