What it is
Ole Smoky White Lightnin' is an unaged corn moonshine bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). It is the distillery's original, unflavored moonshine, made in the tradition of the Smoky Mountains with a corn-based mash and bottled clear without barrel aging. Ole Smoky Distillery opened in 2010 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains, and helped bring legal, small-batch moonshine to a wide audience. Clean and strong, it is the base many of the brand's flavored products are built on.
