What it is
Old Grand-Dad Bonded is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) under the rules of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. That means it was distilled in one season at one distillery, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottled at exactly 100 proof. Made by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. with a high-rye mash bill, it is a favorite among bartenders for its value and its spicy kick.
