A deep, elegant 18-year-old blended Scotch with sherried richness.
What it is
Dewar's 18 Year Old, The Vintage, is a blended Scotch whisky aged at least 18 years and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). Long maturation gives it a rich, velvety character with notes of dried fruit and spice.
Where and how it's made
- Made by John Dewar & Sons, the Scotch whisky house founded in Perth, Scotland, in 1846
- A blend of malt and grain whiskies from across Scotland
- Dewar's double-ages its blends, marrying them in oak casks after blending for extra smoothness
Tasting notes
- Nose: dried fruit, honey and toasted oak
- Palate: velvety and rich, with caramel, raisin, vanilla and soft spice
- Finish: long, warm and elegant
Serving and pairing
Sip neat or with a few drops of water in a tasting glass. Pairs with roast beef, game, dark chocolate and aged cheeses. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
