What it is
Crystal Head Onyx is an agave vodka bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle.
Where and how it's made
- Distilled from 100% blue Weber agave grown in Mexico
- Blended with water from Newfoundland, Canada, and made without additives
- Filtered seven times, three through Herkimer diamonds (quartz crystals)
- Bottled in an opaque black glass skull, created by Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander
Tasting notes
- Nose: light agave, citrus and a touch of pepper
- Palate: smooth and slightly sweet, with soft agave, earth and gentle spice
- Finish: clean, crisp and lightly peppery
Serving and pairing
Serve ice-cold neat or in a martini, or mix into a vodka soda or Moscow mule. Pairs with ceviche, shrimp tacos, grilled fish and fresh salads. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
