1792 Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 93.7 proof (46.85% ABV) in a 750 ml bottle. It is the flagship of the range, formerly sold as 1792 Ridgemont Reserve.
Where and how it's made
- Distilled and aged at Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, the town's oldest fully operating distillery
- Made from the signature high-rye recipe
- Each batch is a marriage of a limited number of barrels chosen by the master distiller
Tasting notes
- Nose: caramel, vanilla and peppery rye with a trace of oak
- Palate: medium-bodied and slightly chewy, with sweet vanilla and caramel against rye spice
- Finish: medium length, spice first, then dark fruit and a hint of licorice
